Remembering My Blessings

I love this video. A good reminder to look for what’s going right for me.

Counting my blessings- off the top of my head-

1. YouTube and the Internet- I love all the inspiring articles and videos I can partake of at any time of day in almost any location. A miracle.

2. My kitties- I have family to come home to. I walk in the door and they get up and greet me with purrs and love.

3. Bonuses! I love being appreciated at work. Great stuff! I’m gonna save some money and buy some stuff. Maybe get some new glasses, and oh, maybe a new apartment. 🙂 *Take a personal video tour*

4. Friends- I can’t believe how long I’ve had some of my friends. The years are going by pretty quickly, and I’m so blessed to have them in my life, even if some of them live far away. And new friends are fan-ta-bulous. Who would think I could find another twenty-something woman who likes quilting and at-home karaoke?

5. Family- Gotta love ’em. What would life be like without the drama of family? A lot less interesting.

6. Dirty Dancing (the movie)- Best-Chick-Flick-Ever. Patrick Swayze looks damn hot in that movie. When he punches that jerk, Robbie, in the face and then hugs Baby, that’s so hot. Or when they practice dancing in the lake, or in the the studio, or on the log, or, or, or. And when he sings to her at the end while they’re dancing. So many good parts. Love, romance, hot sex. Yum… “I’ve had the time of my life!”

7. A good book- There are so many books that have changed my life. Some spiritual, like Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch. Some with bad-ass women, just when I needed them, like the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton.

8. People that are living their dreams, and helping me to believe in mine. Like Oprah, President Obama, Tim Ferriss, and a special big nod to Aaron Ross. 🙂

9. All the technology that helps me keep in touch with my friends and family that don’t live near me.

10. The amazing opportunities afforded to women and people these days. I can live by myself until I’m ready to love and live with someone. I can create a business that I love and I can stay at home and bake.

This is such a short list… but there are so many things I’m blessed with. It’s good to remember all the amazing things I have, and be grateful for them.
